Road Bike Conversion for Hill Climb Races.

The bike is a Cannondale caad6 that was originally built for the Cannondale Saeco team. Laser etched burnished aluminum with Campy Record 10 speed.

Removed the front derailleur and rear brake and removed the drop bars with the shifters/cables. Replaced the drop bars with a carbon mountain bike straight bar with an XTR rapidfire right shifter and an old Avid brake lever which is on the right side but connects to the front brake. The rear Campy derailleur was replaced with an old XTR long cage. I kept the PowerTap wheel but replaced the Campy freehub with a Shimano freehub along with an old XTR 11/34 cassette so the rear shifting is totally Shimano.. The setup weighs less than 16 pounds including the PowerTap wheel.
