Large Marge Rims are 60MM wide, double wall construction and drilled 17.5mm off center to minimize dish.. Surly Endomorph Tires are 3.7" wide. With 10psi, they are hard as a rock. Front wheel takes a rear hub (135mm) so I built it up as a single speed so I can swap wheels back and forth. Front wheel also takes a rear brake instead of a front brake. 100mm BB shell.
This bike handles amazingly well. It loves switchbacks and can easily handle all the trails I ride with dual suspension bikes.
And it sure stops traffic :-)
Finally got some snow.. Thanksgiving day morning, during the snowstorm, we rode at the Res. And on the friday after Thanksgiving, we did a 4 1/2 hour ride from the Res to the lookout at Penwood and back, and on Sunday, we did the Res again. Pugs loves the snow!
A few action pictures taken before the snowfall.
